"As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." James Allen published his writings in 1903...speaking clearly about what you think, so you shall be. We are taught spiritually, that one's life and experiences are hinged upon his or her very words... Allen's premise is derived from willing oneself to do greater based on self thought, and the recognition that a mind is the most powerful thing there is.
I've always known to speak those things that be not, as though they were. We are Believers in my household, so it comes naturally. Once as a child, my mother and I had gone on a small shopping trip together. We had experienced car troubles, and were frightened of our road home on I-95. Needless to say, my mother said, "Jesus...we are getting home. Carry us [Lord] from here to Aberdeen please!"
That's exactly what happened. As we turned in to our home, the car stalled and sputtered. (Funny, as I think back, I never realized that she did not mention our address). How many know it pays to speak it...and speak it clearly with detail once you've put your mind to it?
God sees and knows all...before you think it, it's already done... if asked in faith, and it be His will.
